This was my final year B.A Collection. My final year project was focused on using clothing patterns from 1800-1900, deconstructing them and extracting the construction lines to inform my final design. During the process of designing, the drawings I developed were gradually abandoned and draping began to lead the process of design development.
The imagery, notebooks and even runway images from my project have since been lost through the years of moving and relocating. I recently revisited the images I had; the very first page in this series and also the few runway images towards the end. Parallel to designing Abandon Room in 2015 I started to develop new pages into my old BA project. Heavily impacted by Marlene Dumas the Images as Burden exhibition at the Tate, her work became the new influence to how this old collection could evolve.
