Abandon Room
After exploring various aspects of form within architecture and furniture for the two previous collections I wanted to explore something new. Abandoned Room seemed like the appropriate title in moving forward, away from architecture and furniture.
I researched various images from the natural environment and also a lot from graphic design books which I had been using with students in my teaching practice. The imagery from nature reminded me of my love of knitwear and creating textures. I created a series of machine knitted swatches to include in the collection.
