Zaha-Hadid architects created a Dolls House in support of KIDS UK charity. The design is a puzzle where interlocking elements reminiscent of rooms stack together to create a singular unified house. A continuous void travels through the assembled house to create a common space shared by every element and defining circulation from one room to the other. Offering many possibilities to play and experiment.
The concept of this puzzle was very interesting to me, and experimentation with it was the starting point to inform this collection. The scale of the puzzle really appealed to me, and how its interlocking elements could create such an interesting structure. The idea of the continuous void travelling through it was particularly compelling, as I find voids are a continuous source of intrigue.
